Ready to submit your story to the writing contest? First make sure your story fits the guidelines. Then submit your story using the form below!
Contest Details and Guidelines
- Grand Prize: The winner of the contest will receive a $25 gift card to Indiebound Bookstore!
- Deadline: stories are due on the final day of the month for your camp session (due by July 2)
- One entry per person
- Word limit: 2,000 words max length
- Formatting: Your story will appear exactly how it is in the submission form. Please scan your story to make sure it is formatted exactly how you see it in the form.
- Publication. Want to share your story with the world? If you opt-in for publishing, we will share your story on our Write Summer website along with other stories by write campers so that your best work can get the attention it deserves. This is completely optional though, and will not affect the judges’ decision.
- Timeline: Judging will take 3-4 weeks from the submission deadline. Thanks!
